Hints for programming a DirecTV universal remote to Vizio TV

• Note that the DIRECTV remote can only power on your TV and control the volume while watching DIRECTV. Use the remote control that came with your TV to change TV settings or access third-party apps.
• The Universal remote can control up to four devices. These include TVs, sound systems, game consoles or DVD players. 
• Slide the mode switch at the top of your remote to pick the device you want to control (DIRECTV, AV1, AV2, and TV).

How to program DirecTv universal remote to Vizio TV step by step

Step 1: Switch OFF your DirecTV set-top box by pressing the ‘Power’ button at the back.

How to program DirecTv universal remote to older Vizio TVs step by step

• Step 1: Switch OFF your DirecTV set-top box by pressing the ‘Power’ button at the back.
