According to Onleaks, this is the official 3D render of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. It is the successor to the S20 FE. Which is currently one of Samsung’s most successful phones in the mid-range category. Because of how it packages a lot of premium flagship smartphone features at a lower price. (Watch the video at the end of this post)
Design
From this render, it’s pretty clear that the S21 FE will inherit the same design language as the Galaxy S21. I’m referring to its Aluminum frame, Plastic (Glastic) back, and Camera alignment. But, the camera bump on the S21 FE seems to protrude from its rear panel contrary to that of the Galaxy S21 which blends directly into its metal frame. According to Onleaks, the S21 FE will be 4mm taller and 3mm wider than the Galaxy S21. From the leak, there are no further details regarding the design. However, judging from its predecessor, the S21 FE would probably also have IP68 water resistance. Five color options are expected white, Gray/Silver, Pink, Light Green, and violet.

Display
As a result of its larger size, the S21 FE will have a slightly larger 6.4-inch display when compared to the S21’s 6.2-inch screen. Just like last year’s S20 Fe, the S21 FE is also expected to have a Full HD, AMOLED 120Hz display. But its display may not use the latest Gorilla Glass Victus technology.
Cameras
Compared to last year’s model, the telephoto lens in the triple camera array on the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be upgraded from 8MP to 64MP. It will equally have a 12MP primary and 12MP ultrawide lens. That’s pretty much the same thing you get with the Samsung S21 and S21 Plus flagships. But there may be a slight downgrade in the type of lens used, in order to reduce costs. Just like the S20Fe, Galaxy S21 FE will have a 32MP front-facing camera.

Performance
Last year, the S20 Fe, got the same flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset as the S20 series. Therefore, it’s probable that the S21 Fe would get the flagship Snapdragon 888, 5G connectivity, and 8GB RAM, as found in the Galaxy S21. There’s also the possibility of a cheaper 4G variant with an Exynos chipset, similarly to what Samsung did last year. The S21 FE is expected to launch with Android 11 and One U.I. 3.5.
Storage
In terms of storage, the phone would probably have a 128GB and 256GB option. Last year’s model, the S20 FE has a micro-SD card expansion slot which doubles as a second sim card tray. But Samsung has eliminated this feature in the S21 phones. So even though I really don’t hope it happens, it’s fairly possible that the Galaxy S21 FE would not have expandable storage.
Battery Capacity and Charging
The leaks didn’t cover anything about the battery specs on the Galaxy S21 FE. Nonetheless, we can still make a projection based on how Samsung built the previous two generations of this smartphone. I’m referring to the Galaxy S10 Lite and the S20 FE. They both came with a 4500mAh cell. So, it’s very likely that the S21 FE will have the same battery capacity, as well as 25W fast charging, USB 3.0, 15W wireless charging, and 4.5W reversed wireless charging.

Included accessories
Just as they did with their S21 Flagship Series, Samsung would probably not include any headphones or charging brick in the box of the S21 FE. In an effort to keep the price as low as possible.
Availability and Pricing
As for pricing and availability, the phone would cost somewhere around 600 to 700 US dollars. According to a leaked road map of Samsung events for 2021, the Galaxy S21 FE is expected to launch during Samsung’s Unpacked event in August. Yes, that’s normally the time when Samsung launches its Note Series. But this year Samsung says it might skip the Galaxy Note due to difficulties associated with launching two flagship smartphones in a year.
