Step 1: Find the code list (CL3, CL4, CL5 or CL6) for the specific device that you want to program your universal remote control with.
Step 2: Manually switch on the device you wish to control and turn off any other devices placed near it.
Step 3: Press and hold down the “Setup Button” until the red light on the remote control turns on and remains on.
Step 4: Once the red LED is on, release the “Setup Button”.

Step 1: Manually turn on the device you want to control.

Press and hold the TV button (for about 5 seconds) until the power button illuminates. Don’t let go of the TV button.
While still holding the TV button, type the first code for your TV (from the TV codes list below).
The codes can be 2, 3, 4 or 5 digits depending on the universal remote control version.
Keep holding the TV button and check if the power key is lit.
If the power key stays lit without flashing, that means you have entered the correct code.
In that case you can release the TV button and start using your RCA remote to test the various control functions of your TV.
Sometimes, not all of the TV functions may work. In that case, you have to reprogram the RCA universal remote with the next code of your TV.
If you entered the wrong code, the power key will blink four times.
